Westport Viewing Tower

Westport, Washington

The Port of Grays Harbor needed to replace an existing all steel viewing tower that had become unsafe due to rust. The new tower had to be resistant to the marine environment and have a distinctive shape  as its location at the end of the Westport Marina is visible from many locations. Working with the community, MSGS discovered that the iconic lighthouse sillouette is much loved by the Citizens of Westport. That is the shape the viewing tower took.

MSGS made the tower out of high strength concrete with epoxy coated reinforcing steel and galvanized rails that are easily demountable if replacement or repair is necessary.
