Services

We specialize in private office, retail, medical and religious projects as well as publicly funded projects for Community and State Colleges, and Local and State Agencies. Our projects range from historic restorations and renovations to new dramatic contemporary forms and structures, and include tenant improvement and interior renovation projects. We assist clients with project pre-planning and site selection, programming, design, and construction support services.

Founded in 1974, MSGS Architects offers a wide range of design services for clients across the State of Washington. We are located in downtown Olympia in the historic Walker Building, with three firm Partners and a total staff of nine. MSGS approaches projects hands-on with firm Partners leading a collaborative process from start to finish, and have built success through a positive working relationship with multiple repeat clients.

We believe architecture is more than shelter; fine architectural design fullysupports the interaction of people with their environment. Our design process emphasizes active input and consensus building with our clients. This allows usto determine what is special to each client, to each project and to each setting. We produce designs that are direct, understandable and responsive to their place and their community. MSGS has emphasized environmentally responsible design since the firm’s inception and is committed to pursuing a sustainable future for our community and our clients. All three partners are LEED accredited professionals and strive to incorporate sustainable principles and technologies into every project.
